Split was visited by 2 Cellos on Saturday night. The concert was free of charge and out in the open.
This is the first visit of these world renowned musicians to our town, and both the audience and the musicians loved it. Stjepan and Luka said they were never greeted this warmly before and the audience loved them.
Milos and I went by ourselves down to town, on riva - the main walkway, and the place was already packed.
Milos's height made us some space and we wound our way as close to the stage as possible.
I kept thinking about my dearly beloved girlfriend who couldn't be there, and so I brought the camera and recorded almost the entire concert.
So, xanga, I bring you this not so great footage, but good sound - to enjoy :)
This post goes out to you Kriztina <3 I love you a lot, and I hope you will enjoy these as much as I had recording them - with a lot of help from Milos too :)
You can see me there on the left with camo bandana and Milos next to me with his hands up recording the event.
And the last song in this clip is dedicated to you Kriztina. There are 3 songs on here, but yours is a love song:)
And for all the Americans living in San Francisco Bay Area - 2 Cellos will come to you on October 12, 2012. For more information click here.
@RestlessButterfly - Glad you like it sayangku :) I hope you get to watch the whole thing :) I couldn't stop thinking about you and wishing that you were there with Milos and me
Oh, how I miss the free open air concerts on weekends in Grant Park! Everything from rock to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and right on beautiful Lake Michigan... those were the days! I'm glad you enjoyed the show brother, wish I could've been there! Peace
@AOK4WAY - You can be there - that's what the videos are for :)
Yeah but I can't keep the seat next to you warm for Special K that way
My brother played the cello and the girl who I liked also played the cello. I haven't listened to a cello for quite a while and this long concert was not too bad to listen to.
The cellist must have taken breaks to tune his cello. Also you must have had a program to tell you what song were going to be played.
@PPhilip - Nope. THere was only 1 break during the concert because Luka's cello string broke and he had a new instrument at the ready. While he switched instruments, Stjepan played a Bach tune, but I wasn't able to record it
hmmm... never been to any concert throughout my life.. i guess i tend to prefer movies than concerts, for some reason.. maybe i just don't like crowds
@maniacsicko - I know what you mean. I love movies too, and this is the second concert in my life I've been to. And I only went becasue I like 2 Cellos. I do hope you enjoyed the post :)
